Nora Volkow on deprivation

Why does everyone seem to be dieting to lose weight, and never succeeding? Because permanent results requires permanent change – see the video on choc/dairy addiction with Neal Barnard. Here’s Volkow providing a more neuroscientific (is that a word?) view on the matter – and it makes sense. We’re stressed, we’re annoyed, we literally seek under-cover drugs to calm us down, we get Β sick, we want to lose weight and deprive ourselves even more even though we were deprived from before!

I just want to say, that fruits and vegetables will not let you down.. πŸ™‚
